Each month we profile one of RCA’s valued staff. Many of you will know that Pat Hems has been Operations Manager with RCA since 2008. In addition, she has also been responsible for Sales & Marketing roles. As RCA has continued to grow, Pat will now concentrate her time and considerable skills on the ever expanding role of Sales & Marketing Manager for RCA.

We are pleased to welcome Peter Quinn, who has commenced with RCA as our new Operations Manager.

Vital Stats:

Married to Dyreen with one son (Nyasinga 8yo) and one daughter (Tara 6yo)

I was attracted to Cardinia Water Village because: I Had worked with RCA senior staff previously when I was managing a retirement village in Brighton East. I was keen to get involved in a company that was developing retirement villages and utilize my experience to assist in the ongoing development of, and transition to, completed operational villages.

Favorites: Music: Rock; Films: Comedies, Action, Science Fiction; Food: All, having travelled extensively I love trying new and exotic foods; Drink; Beer, but these days mostly light beers! Holiday destination: Africa

My greatest Achievement in Life is: Marrying Dyreen who is from Kenya and having two beautiful children.

Bucket List: Visit Tibet, explore South America, run my own safari camp in Tanzania. I wish I had never: I don’t really regret anything I’ve done – even mistakes are a growing experience.

5 People I’d Love to have at a BBQ: • Dalai Lama – an amazing man, • David Attenborough – a wealth of knowledge on the natural world, • Edmund Hillary – first man on Everest, having been to the base camp I’d love to hear how he did it firsthand,

• Paul White – former colleague in Africa, funny man to have around a bbq / campfire, • Owen Newman – BBC Wildlife cinematographer – shared love of the African bush. If I could change the world: Get first world countries to assist the third world consistently – not just when they have resources we want.
