Your invitation: Victoria’s Journey of Remembrance
August 2014 marked one hundred years since the commencement of the First World War (WWI). As part of the Victorian Government’s Anzac Centenary program (2014-2018) a free community roadshow and moving performance – Victoria’s Journey of Remembrance – has been launched. The residents at Beleura Village Mornington and Cardinia Waters Village were the first of the Retirement Communities Australia (RCA) families to enjoy a commemorative presentation that honors the sacrifices made by Victorians in World War 1 as we approach the Anzac Centenary this year.
The Journey of Remembrance roadshow is due to be performed at Point Cook Village on Wednesday 29 April 2015 as part of the village Anzac Day commemorations. Each member of the audience receives an Anzac Commemoration pack, containing a brief history of Victoria's contribution to the war effort and a small token of remembrance.
The roadshow received a warm response at Beleura Village and Cardinia Waters Village, with many audience members visibly moved and compelled to engage with the performers after the show.
It's your turn. You’re invited!
We're proud to announce that we will be hosting a choice of two roadshow sessions at Point Cook Village on Wednesday 29 April 2015.
