Reflections of Pakenham history

A postcard from Pakenham

The letter on the back of this 19 December 1911 postcard of Main Road Pakenham from Violet Rossiter reads:

Mr C.C. Rossiter (Claude Cecil), "Vivaleigh", Hedley Loose Bag, Sth. Gippsland.

Dear Uncle Claude, Mother was operated on on Friday afternoon. She is very low. She has been delirious since the operation. I will write & let you know how she gets on. Love to all from all at home, from Violet Rossiter.

Let's hope Violet's Mother recovered from her operation and enjoyed her life in Pakenham.
