Martha Cove Village - End of Year Roundup
Just over twelve months ago, the Clubhouse was opened at Martha Cove Village, homes were still being built. Many residents were yet to take up residence in the village situated in Mornington Peninsula's Safety Beach. What a difference a year makes!
To mark the first anniversary of the Clubhouse Opening, residents and staff celebrated with a cocktail party where they enjoyed bubbles, finger food and entertainment provided by the village choir. The social club at the village has really hit the ground running, organising a range of different events and outings over the year.
Most recently, Social Club member and master fund-raiser Annie Davies invited her long-time friend, Rio Para-Olympics double gold cycling medallist Carol Cooke, to a luncheon at the village. Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by Carol's moving, hilarious and informative presentation; her story of a dream that came true under extraordinary circumstances inspired all who attended. A staggering $1945.00 was raised from the silent art auction that was also held on the day. All artworks were donated by residents who practise a visual art form, and the proceeds were directed to the MS 24hour swim.
Martha Cove Village is now completed with only a few villas still waiting for their new occupants to move in early in the New Year. Gorgeous new gardens are coming into bloom all over the village, and much like their gardens, the residents are also flourishing in their new community.
